That is NOT okay, cupid.

So this year I've had many new things in life happen. One of them being internet dating. Now I did not set this up, a one Kelly Pierce created a profile for me on OKCupid and "challenged" me to go out on 3 (or 12) dates with guys from this site. Well fast forward 10 whole days later, I needed to delete this dating profile partly because it gave me anxiety (about having my picture potentially go into spankbank vaults) but mostly because guys that were contacting me were creeps.

Things I learned from my week of internet dating:
1) Apparently people (meaning men) lower their standards... for everything.
From using capital letters and punctuation in messaging a stranger to not even asking for my name before asking me out.

2) "you hott" is an acceptable greeting to a stranger when internet dating.
It's not.

3) Men put no effort into what their photo says about them
(Maybe that angle is not the BEST angle for your... face)

4) You will be contacted mostly by your looks.
I had a few guys contact me (with three word messages) and their profiles stated things like "I don't read", "homosexuals should not have the right to get married", "I want my children to be the same race"  Ummmm, Hi have you seen my face? Did you even read my profile? We agree on nothing in every FUNDAMENTAL value and expectations for life.

CHARTS!

Needless to say, internet dating was very weird and awkward and not in a good way.

Will someone let me know if you are still reading this? Because I want sharing!
